This video walks through ShapeUI, Shape’s customizable interface designed to simplify your workflow by putting the exact fields you need in one clean, easy-to-use tab. Instead of jumping through multiple sections to gather borrower details, ShapeUI brings everything together so you can qualify leads faster and with fewer clicks.
The Challenge With Default UI Tabs
In a standard CRM layout, fields are grouped into multiple tabs. You might have:
- Contact info
- Loan details
- Property information
- Notes
- Application data
The information is all there, but you may need to move back and forth to fill out fields, check borrower details, or confirm data.
Shape includes a Guidelines tab that summarizes helpful borrower information, but that tab is read-only. You can review details, but you can’t edit anything from that screen.

ShapeUI can display additional fields based on your inputs.
For example:
- Toggle Add Co-Borrower
- New co-borrower fields appear instantly
- Turn it off and the fields collapse again
This keeps the screen clean and uncluttered, only showing the fields relevant to the scenario.
One-Click Saving and Syncing
Once you complete the form in ShapeUI, clicking Save updates every connected field across the contact record.
No need to hunt for where a field lives. Everything syncs from one tab.
Different UI Styles Available
ShapeUI can be built in several formats:
1. Single-screen layout
All fields on one page. Most common and fastest to use.
2. Application-style flow
Users fill out one block at a time, clicking Continue to advance.
3. Guided hybrid format
Includes instructional text, borrower goals, and structured prompts for sales conversations. Your UI can be as simple or as guided as your team prefers.
Embedding Tools Directly Into Shape
ShapeUI also supports embedding external tools right inside your CRM.

This reduces the need for multiple tabs or windows. You can research, qualify, and manage data all from one interface.
Requirements for embedding
- The tool must be web-based
- The provider must allow embedding
- Shape will contact the vendor if permission is required
