Tracking Multiple Loan Transactions for a Single Borrower in Shape

Borrowers often come back for second homes, refinances, investment properties, or future purchases. Shape makes it easy to track every loan you've ever handled for a borrower and view each transaction separately without losing the full history.

This video walks through how Shape organizes loan records so you can quickly review past transactions and manage new ones with confidence.

Viewing a Borrower’s Full Loan History

Shape stores detailed loan information down to the 1008 and 1003 level. On any borrower record, the Loans tab shows a complete list of their past and current transactions.

This makes it easy to:

Everything can be linked, but kept clean and separate for reporting and compliance.

Opening Past Loan Transactions

When you click on a past loan from the Loans tab, Shape opens the full funded loan file. You can review:

This provides a full picture of past work without needing to search for old records or recreate context.

Viewing Active Applications

Current loan applications show up in the same list but open into a different view. When you click a transaction that is still in progress, Shape loads the Application area.

From there, you can view

This gives you a clear way to work today's transaction without mixing it up with a borrower’s older files.

Why This Matters

When a borrower comes back for another transaction, you have everything you need in one place:

This makes your workflow smoother and gives you better insight into your borrower relationships over time.
