Integration Capabilities

The integration between Simple Nexus and Shape Software API enhances your lead management process by automatically creating new leads in Shape whenever a borrower signs up to initiate a loan application in Simple Nexus. This integration operates as a one-way push from Simple Nexus to Shape, ensuring seamless data flow and efficient lead tracking.

Key Integration Features

When a new borrower registers for a loan application on Simple Nexus, Shape receives instant notification through webhook integration. This triggers the creation of a corresponding lead in Shape, streamlining your lead generation process.

Simple Nexus sends essential information to Shape during lead creation, including the borrower’s name, phone number, email address, and the loan officer’s email address.

Upon receiving the data, Shape matches the email address of the borrower with existing users in its database. If a match is found, the lead is automatically routed to the appropriate branch and assigned to the corresponding user, facilitating personalized follow-ups and efficient lead management.

Within Shape, a specialized duplicate management rule is configured for leads from “Simple Nexus,” automatically merging new records with existing ones based on phone or email matches while maintaining the original lead source. Merged records are updated to “Application Started,” ensuring efficient lead tracking. If no match is found, new leads are seamlessly created under the “Simple Nexus” source, ensuring accurate lead management.

Information Passed Through

When the webhook is triggered, Shape receives the following information. If the duplicate management rule is invoked, Shape will retain the original lead source as configured in the rule settings. However, if a new borrower applies and doesn't meet the criteria of the duplicate management rules for Simple Nexus, the lead will be attributed to the source "Simple Nexus."

How to Integrate your Simple Nexus Account

First, log into Simple Nexus and navigate to "Communications"

Get a comprehensive view of all the prospects in your sales funnel, track their progress through stages, and update numerous contacts at once in bulk.

Copy your Active API Key

If there isn’t an active API key created yet, press “New Token” in the upper right corner and make sure that it’s activated for all webhooks.

Once you have an active API key, copy the API token by pressing the “Copy” icon.

Open Shape and navigate to API Integrations

You will find API Integrations under the Apps & Integrations dropdown in settings.

Scroll to the Simple Nexus and connect

Scroll to the “Simple Nexus” block and click “Connect” – paste in the copied Simple Nexus API key in the popup and press save.

After saving, you’re connected!

Note: To check to make sure Shape is subscribed, you should be able to go back to Simple Nexus – under “Communication” on the left, click on “Webhook Tool” - you should see a new webhook starting with “SHP” - Shape creates the webhook automatically for you.

Workflow with Encompass LOS (if applicable)

Although Shape and Simple Nexus integration occurs solely when the borrower initiates the application process, it's important to note that Shape boasts a bi-directional integration with Encompass. Consequently, upon the borrower completing the loan application and Simple Nexus generating the loan file in Encompass, Shape seamlessly acquires the loan file through the Shape and Encompass API. This integration furnishes Shape with a comprehensive 3.4 file alongside custom fields, completed milestones, and assignment updates, ensuring robust data synchronization and streamlined workflow management.

Frequently asked questions

Yes! Your loan applications will be added as leads in Shape assigned with “Simple Nexus” as the source upon integration.​

You have the option for the integration to “Sync All” or “Sync Only Matched Users”. Sync All will sync all leads from Simple Nexus regardless of who is assigned to that file in Simple Nexus. 

Sync Only Matched Users will only sync leads that belong to a matching user in Shape. This way if you have a user in Simple Nexus that is NOT a user in Shape, their leads will be stopped from syncing to Shape to prevent confusion.

The integration will determine a matched user based on the user email in Simple Nexus matching the user email in Shape. If there is no match, the lead will not sync to Shape.

This integration will create new leads in Shape for new applications in Simple Nexus, however, this does not update existing records in Shape with new updates from Simple Nexus unless you have a duplicate management rule set up.

The below data points are received from Simple Nexus:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Mobile Phone
  • Email Address
  • Record ID (Maps to Reference ID in Shape)
  • LO Email Address (Used for Routing & Assignment)
