Event Types in Shape are used to categorize your calendar events and are usually centered around concerted efforts to achieve common business goals. Manage your event types that will apply to your system as a whole and will allow you to categorize events and filter your calendar.
Start by navigating to “Settings” in the top gradient bar. Next click the dropdown labeled “System Preferences” to find the “Event Types” settings page.
You can also edit an existing event types by selecting choose and then open in the action column on the right side of the table.
You will be prompted to title your event as well as adding a color to differentiate this event on the calendar view.
Once your event type has been added, you can create a calendar event in Shape and choose the event type via the “Event Type” dropdown.
Event types are listed in the left hand side of the calendar. To get to your calendar overview, click on the calendar icon in the right-hand sidebar. Created events are displayed here. You can filter events based on the Event Type by checking what types of events you’d like to see on your calendar.
Yes! The event types in your system will be able to be utilized by all of your users and do not need to be created for each individual user.
Yes! This can be done from both within the record under the calendar sidebar, or within your actual calendar in Shape by clicking the calendar button.
Absolutely! This is done from the Scheduled overview report. Simply use the checkmarks to select the events you wish to delete and then click the delete button!
