Utilizing a Call Script in Shape

Create call script templates to keep your sales team consistent while on the phone. Use prompts and tags to pull information like customer name and other contact details to keep it personal and reduce any hiccups during the call.

Creating a New Call Script

Start by navigating to “Settings” in the top gradient bar. Next click the dropdown labeled “Templates & Resources” to find the “Call Scripts” settings page.

You can add templates by clicking “Add Template”. Write the call script message that will populate when this template is chosen.

You can also edit an existing template by clicking the “Choose” dropdown and selecting “Edit”. 

Inserting Data Merge Tokens will pull data from the record being called to your user’s for a more personalized script with the most accurate information.

Simply copy and paste these tokens into your script for a more personalized call.

Rich Text WYSIWYG (What You See is What You Get) Editor Capabilities

WYSIWYG stands for “What You See Is What You Get.” Shape’s rich text HTML editor has a vast range of both simple and complex features for all kinds of use cases. The tools are organized into 4 categories within the intuitive toolbar where every feature is easy to find. Format notes, emails, signatures, calendar event descriptions and more with Shape’s WYSIWYG editor, and watch the formatting change as you use the built-in tools.

Using Call Scripts in Shape

When making phone calls you will be able to access the call scripts from the dialer slideout. You will just click the drop down on the slideout that says “Script” and then select the script you are wanting to use and the script will populate.

Depending on the platform you are using there will sometimes be a “Scripts” tab available to access within the records as well. You can enable this tab by going to Manage Departments and selecting the department and record types you’d like to enable this in. You will click on that tab within the record and choose the script you want to use from the dropdown.
