With the LendingDox–Shape bi-directional integration, loan originators who are using Shape to automate their mortgage processes and to manage their lead & customer database, can seamlessly create new loans to LendingDox directly from within Shape. After the loan file creation, LendingDox will then update Shape moving forward with field updates and loan status changes. This integration maintains all important borrower documentation and correspondence in a single location.

Frequently Asked Questions

If your integration is established, but you are not seeing your loans in your lead or pipeline view, make sure that your NMLS license number has been added into your user profile.

If your user NMLS license has been successfully added for all user profiles, reach out to LendingDox support at support@lendingdox.com to make sure that your API has been set up correctly and is syncing.

If the above items have been successfully configured, you may not have enough information filled out to send the file over to LendingDox.

Shape can only sync to LendingDox one time to create the loan file. Once the synced file has been created, LendingDox becomes the parent file and any future updates can only come from LendingDox into Shape. This includes field updates and loan status updates. If you try to push more information to LendingDox from Shape via the “Sync to LOS” button on a loan that has already been synced, you will get an error message letting you know that the loan file has already been created.

When you use the “Sync to LOS” or an automated push from Shape to LendingDox, the file will populate in your “Loans” pipeline. If the user NMLS license has been properly set up in Shape, the Loan Officer assignment will maintain in the push over to LendingDox.

LendingDox automatically creates new loan files in Shape if there is a new loan file that is not already synced between systems. Often, Shape customers will download the 3.2 or 3.4 file and upload the record into LendingDox instead of using the “Sync to LOS” feature. Manually importing a 3.2 or 3.4 file will cause a duplicate file in Shape because the record in Shape will not be tied to the loan ID and a new duplicate record will be created in Shape from LendingDox.

LendingDox creates new records in Shape based on the Loan, and duplicate management in Shape is based on the unique loan identifier called the loan GUID. If you have multiple loans with the same borrower in LendingDox, it will create multiple files within Shape.

Please allow for 15 minutes for updates from LendingDoxto reflect in Shape. If you’re not noticing updates after 15 minutes, please make sure that the loan file is synced with LendingDox.

LendingDox loan statuses will reflect in the “LendingDox Status” dropdown and will update the corresponding Shape status (if there is a comparable status, you can find the LendingDox Shape status mapping via Settings > Manage Triggers). If you need to make any adjustments to your triggers due to newly created or edited statuses within Shape, you can do so via triggers that can be found in the “Manage Triggers” settings page.

Yes, if you use the “Recreate Loan” option within the lead details page via the “LOS” dropdown, you can create a brand new loan file in LendingDox that is synced to the single record in Shape. Recreating a loan file will create a brand new loan file in your LOS system and ignore the existing loan file connection. This action will only sync this Shape record with the new loan from your LOS. You must confirm the action in order to proceed. Please note that if you make updates to the older loan file in LendingDox, it will no longer update the Shape record, only the new loan file will update the record within Shape after recreating a new loan.
